A Thoughtful Balance of Character and Modern Living

Rather than adopting a conventional neutral palette, the design embraces individuality, introducing colour, texture, and carefully curated materials throughout. Each space has its own identity, yet contributes to a cohesive and harmonious interior scheme that reflects both personality and craftsmanship.

Scope of Works

Ground Floor Refurbishment
The ground floor underwent a full transformation, evolving from a dated and compartmentalised layout into a welcoming, open, and functional living space. All surfaces, finishes, and systems were upgraded to meet modern standards while preserving the architectural integrity of the Georgian structure.

Internal Reconfiguration
The layout was carefully restructured to enhance flow, usability, and natural light. Select walls were removed and repositioned to create open-plan living areas, improving connectivity between spaces while respecting the original proportions of the building.

Rear Extension
A contemporary rear extension was introduced to expand the living area and strengthen the connection to the garden. Designed in close collaboration with LADDA, the extension features large glazed doors, a skylight, and a distinctive brick feature wall. The use of high-quality materials ensures a seamless transition between old and new, complementing the existing architecture while introducing a modern edge.

Underfloor Heating Installation
A fully integrated underfloor heating system was installed across the ground floor, providing efficient, evenly distributed warmth. This modern solution enhances comfort while maintaining clean, uncluttered interiors.

Electrical Upgrade and Rewiring
The entire ground floor was rewired to meet current safety and performance standards. The installation included new lighting schemes, upgraded sockets and switches, a new consumer unit, and provisions for smart home integration—ensuring long-term functionality and efficiency.

Bi-Folding Garden Doors Installation
High-quality steel bi-folding doors were installed at the rear, creating a strong visual and physical connection between the interior and garden. Precision installation and premium materials ensure excellent insulation, durability, and a refined architectural finish.

Bespoke Windows and Skylight Installation
New double-glazed metal sash windows and a bespoke skylight were installed as part of the extension. These elements enhance natural light while improving thermal performance and acoustic insulation, all while maintaining the heritage aesthetic of the property.

Plastering and Decoration
All walls and ceilings were meticulously plastered and finished to a high standard, followed by detailed painting works. The result is a smooth, consistent finish that enhances light and colour throughout the space.

Premium oak flooring was installed across the ground floor, selected for both durability and visual warmth. The precise installation reflects a high level of craftsmanship, with clean lines and a flawless finish that complements the overall design.
